New boygroup Sakto to do front act for David Archuleta's Philippine promo tour
The group passed the selection process conducted by David Archulenta's management team which required all performers to submit songs and performance links on the internet.
They come from the most diverse backgrounds. Musically, they can shift from pop to r&b, ballad to dance, alternative to even novelty --- with so much ease and class. They are three of the most promising young performers in the Philippines --- referred to as --- Sakto (which means exact/perfect/the right mix) with members: stage and dance floor heartthrobs Edgar Alan Guzman, Rodjun Cruz and Lucky Mark Mercado.
They move, groove and dominate the dancefloor every Sunday in PO5 (Party On 5) in their "Fresh" segment where they sing and dance and determine the new youth norm and fashion --- and individually, they have their respective of fans and supporters as actors.
With their upcoming CD and their carrier single --- "Rampa" (by Jungee Marcelo), Sakto is set to conquer the airwaves, the malls and the concert halls with their spirited rendition and infectious energy that is sure to get everyone into that Sakto mood.
For a start, the group was chosen from a number of Filipino performers who sent their profiles and performance files to a management group in the United States. Fortunately, Sakto was chosen to have their launching performance at the gig of American Idol runner-up David Archuleta who is set to return to the Philippines to promote his sophomore album “The Other Side of Down.” David’s showcase, where the group Sakto will be performing as his front act, will be held at the SM City North EDSA Skydome this November 17 (Wednesday) at 6pm.
“Any performer (even David Archuleta), will feel that the singing and,dancing standards are always brought to a remarkable and excellent level when Sakto delivers the best in every performance,” says Noel Ferrer, the group’s manager.
