Reporting from Denver - NBA Finals Game 1 and 2

Before Tipoff of the first
NBA Finals series in Denver, Colorado

Miami, Florida - It has been a crazy week leading up to this.

We finally land in Florida after being a hectic and crazy five days of coverings Game 1 and 2 at Denver, Colorado.

I arrived at the Mile High City last May 31, not knowing if I was really supposed to be there or flying to Boston. 

A few days prior, I had already booked this flight to Colorado with the assumption that it would be a Heat-Nuggets series for this Finals. But then, the Celtics captured three straight games to force a deciding Eastern Conference Finals Game 7. So, I had to book another (refundable) ticket to Boston and hoped for the best with my travel arrangements.

So, with Game 7 finally decided a few hours before my flight, I had to re-check my clothes for a Denver and Miami weather. Mind you, I still had to do a zoom meeting with people back in Asia. 

So, off I went to the airport with just a early evening nap after getting home from my day job.

The Tru Hotel in Denver was gracious enough to allow me an early check-in and then off I went to for the Media Day coverage.

Thankfully, Day 1 of the coverage was a short one. It allowed me to rest and recover for the following days.

Spent my day around Denver on the morning of Game 1 taking in some scenics for the reports that needed to be filed. 

Ball Arena was packed to the rafters and you could feel the energy of the home crowd as I went around the venue.

Denise Tan was still making her way to the US and it would be her first time covering the NBA Finals. She arrived with Cignal executive Eric Centeno on the evening after Game 1.

So, I was able to go around Denver some more but not that far as I would have wanted. We should have made plans to get a car rental in order to visit some of the state parks and trails.

Day of Game 2 was quite hectic as we were trying to determine if we had enough materials for our reports to be sent back home. We also had to prepare for a quick turnaround as we had the morning flight for Miami.
